“Good food is the foundation of true happiness.” – Auguste Escoffier
This food adventure was even more exciting because it was not part of the original plan. My bestie and I were going to go eat Indian food after watching the incredible Beauty and the Beast movie but had to quickly change our plans because it was closed. We were close to Nashua, NH so I figured we could do some searching and find a good spot to eat.
We searched and found Main Street Gyro, a total DT Nashua gem. They have an extensive menu including spreads, Gyros (pronounced “yee-ros”), falafel, dinners and side orders.
We went with Chicken Gyros, Greek french fries, falafel and also ordered some Loukoumades, a Greek sweet. Our minds were blown; while they have the traditional Gyros with Tzatziki sauce, the Chicken Gyros came with a mustard sauce that was in a different league altogether. The meat was juicy and succulent, the pita warm, soft and full of flavor and the sides were perfection. I haven’t had a Gyro like this, ever.
This needs to be on your “to try” list, my day was literally made better by the food I had here and that, to me is what having a good “food experience” is all about.
Enjoy the pictures below and make a trip to this spot!
Our full spread, each one bursting with flavor
Greek fries: Oregano, feta and Greek dressing to dip them in
These falafels were crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. Yogurt sauce on the side
Chicken Gyro: Chicken, mustard sauce, red onions, tomatoes, hand cut fries, & parsley
Another shot, just cause. 🙂
Loukoumades: Fried dough balls, dipped in honey syrup sauce, topped with sugar, cinnamon & crushed walnuts. INCREDIBLE
