Artistry on the Green – Lexington, MA

“There is a difference between dining and eating. Dining is an art. When you eat to get the most out of your meal, to please the palate, just as well to satiate the appetite, that, my friend, is dining.” – Yuan Mei

I had the opportunity to dine at Artistry on the Green for lunch during the Dine out Boston event. This restaurant is located within the Inn at Hastings Park in Lexington, MA surrounded by history and filled with New England charm.

I met a dear friend who lives in the area and knows this restaurant well and she was excited to introduce me to the cuisine at Artistry.

You could have your choice of one appetizer and one entree as part of the event for an excellent set price. While we both ordered off the menu, we then split a delightfully rich, but light dessert at the end of the meal that was not included in the Prix fix menu.

Starters we ordered:

Roasted Pepper & Tomato Soup– this was topped with a Basil Oil. This was a very light soup, but the freshness of the tomatoes  gave the dish a sweet and tart flavor.

Salmon Rillete (French word, pronounced ree-yet) – Radish, Parsley, Pickled Shallot & Everything Spice Crostini. This stood out to me, the salmon was fresh, and so tasty. The pickled shallot was one of my favorite things about this dish. The flavors really blended well and it was beautiful to look at.

Plated so well!

Entree’s we ordered:

Spinach Salad– With braised chicken thigh, roasted red onion, egg, blue cheese fondue & rosemary bacon dressing. This salad was without a doubt one of the better salads I have had. The chicken was flavorful, the onion was crunchy and was very tasty. The dressing and blue cheese fondue were both perfection.

Perfect portion

Beautiful presented, great flavors

House Made Tagliatelle -This came with roasted cauliflower, broccoli rabe, caramelized onion, roasted garlic & ricotta salata. I tried just a bit of this, and the pasta itself was well cooked and super flavorful

Vibrant colors

Pasta was delightful

For dessert:

Lemon Mousse w/ Pistachio crust & brittle – This was light and sweet but had a rich tartness that was a perfect compliment. I absolutely loved this dessert, as you can see from all the pictures I took 🙂

So glad I was able to have a lovely lunch, with the most delightful service and care. Great place to try if you haven’t already. Make a reservation!!
