This was one of the amazing highlights of our trip this past weeks d to Rhode Island Comic Con. My Aunt and Uncle took me and Roosevelt out for this amazing dinner at Hemenways in Providence and it is some of the best seafood and wine I have had.
We then walked along the river and saw the beautiful waterfire I will include pictures, it was such a nice walk and the weather was perfect and brisk.
Dinner at Hemenways
We had two bottles of wine both white both superb.
Riesling,Genesis, WA 2013
Very sweet and smooth
Riesling, Trimbach, France 2012
Slightly sweet, dry and a bit of citrus
Started with appetizer plate.
Scallops wrapped in Bacon, calamari with hot peppers, and stuffed clams.
Flavors were perfect. Scallops were absolutely fantastic. Bacon crispy. Clams were spiced just right and the hot peppers we’re a great compliment to the calamari.
Our dishes were both pasta based. Simply superb and fresh.
Seafood Pasta
Scallops, shrimp, swordfish, clams, mussels, and calamari with a lobster tomato broth over linguine.
Venda Lobster Agnolotti
Lobster and ricotta filled pasta with a heirloom tomato lemon butter sauce.
All the seafood was extremely fresh and flavorful and sauces complimented each other well.
For dessert we ordered the Key Lime Pie, it was simply the best one I have ever had.
My aunt and uncle had the fish of the day and fresh lobster with a side of Yukon potatoes. For dessert they had the Pumpkin Cheesecake. I had a bite of the cheesecake, amazing.
The walk afterwards was incredibly fulfilling, the Waterfire is for the veterans and you can actually go out and are light the bonfires. It was so beautiful.
Such a wonderful night this past Saturday.
I recommend going to dinner at Hemenways and enjoying some amazing food. You won’t regret it.
Eat Well,
