Tuck in and get ready for a culinary trip into tasty Asian food, featuring both Chinese and Japanese cuisine. I am super excited to write about one of my own local favorites for comfort food, Jade Lowell Restaurant located in Lowell, MA right off the Lowell Connector and inside the Thorndike Exchange building.
Earlier this year there was a local competition called “Munch Madness” sponsored by the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce, one of the prizes was a feature on my website, which I am honored to be able to do. I had eaten at Jade a few times already, and when I went in to take some photos for this piece I was treated with such hospitality by Kenny Foo the owner and their wonderful staff.
Kenny Foo has been in the restaurant business for over a decade with work spanning across New England and New York and his number one priority is serving delicious and fresh food to their customers. Providing an environment where customer can leave satisfied but yearn for more is the perfect way to describe Jade. They have delicious cocktails that span from the usual offerings to more eclectic and colorful. Their Chinese food menu has items you may be familiar with like General Gao Chicken to more regional dishes like Szechuan style dishes. Their Japanese menu has some delights on it, with flavor profiles that the most avid sushi/sashimi lover will love and options for the beginner sushi eater as well.
Every time I have gone to Jade Lowell Restaurant, I have left happy and full; and the service? Has always been good as well. Its always been important to me to share food experiences with you all that resonate with me and my adventures. Lowell has always been a culinary marvel where you can eat food from different world regions, and honestly is never boring. I am glad that Jade Lowell entered the picture and is bringing their take on Chinese and Japanese cuisine to the table.
You also have multiple options for eating the food at Jade. You can either dine in or do takeout, they have a lovely outdoor seating area that is perfect in the warmer months and they also have a lounge you can enjoy with friends for a night out. They have something for every palette and I know you’ll enjoy your visit. Please enjoy the photos below, and make sure to leave a comment if you have been and your favorite dish!

Preparing one of their signature cocktails
Their bar area is gorgeous, and I loved taking photos here with all the lights.
These two drinks are the Jade Martini and the Mai Tai
You can never go wrong with the Black Pepper Sizzling Beef, one of their most popular dishes
Their sushi dishes are so visually appealing like this: Pan Seared Tuna with Fried Scallions
Escolar with Roasted Onion & Jalapeno
The colors of this food makes me happy, out of focus is the Yue Yang Spicy Chicken which also has a beef option, it is delicious, spicy and will make you do a happy dance.
Their platter for two or three is the perfect addition to your table with a group of friends or family
Striped bass with ginger & fried lotus
I could not get over the beauty of this dish, the lotus so perfectly accenting the plate
