Cafe Landwer | Boston, MA

Recently, I was invited to check out the new fall menu at the Cleveland Circle location of Cafe Landwer. With one other location in Boston ( their  flagship United States location) they bring with them flavors, culture and a unique spin on Israeli cuisine. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert was interesting and I left with many favorites from this new fall menu.

Having been in Tel Aviv for many, many years they have perfected what they want from their restaurants and fly in chefs to teach the cuisine to the chefs here in the US. Quality is key here at Cafe Landwer and the flavors you experience in Tel Aviv must match what you get here. I appreciated this about them, in more ways than one. Remaining true to your roots is something I am such a huge proponent of and when I can experience it in food it really just makes me happy. I left this dinner not only full and happy but anxious to bring family and friends, so they too could experience the cuisine I had.

I had many favorites, but I am going to share all the dishes I ate with you so that you too can experience this just a little bit and hopefully this makes you want to take a trip of your own to Cafe Landwer.

Food | Appetizers & Entrees

Green Shakshouka | Feta, herbs, bechamel, leek swiss chard, challah bread

Moroccan Shakshouka | Ground beef/lamb marinated in harissa, morocca spice, challah bread

Latkis Benedict | Potato pancakes over avocado, egg, labneh, tomatoes

Pita Tartin Avocado | Za’tar pita, avocado, cherry tomatos, radish, chili flakes

Chicken Salad | Chicken, avocado, tomatoes, kale, chia seeds, cabbage, carrots, bulgur, quinoa, pumpkin seeds

Lebanese Salad | Bulgur, quinoa, tomatoes, peppers, pumpkin seeds, almonds, herms, sumac, labneh

Jerusalem Sun Choke Hummus Bowl | Root of sunflower plant marinated in harissa, flash fried | House made pita

Roasted Beets | Red and candy striped beets with labneh, fennel, black currant, sumac, najella seeds

Chicken Shwarma | Marinated chicken, couscous, kale, parsley, mint

Salmon Za’tar | Couscous, smashed potatoes, kale, parsley

Arias | Lamb/beef marinated with harissa- served inside pita and salad

Beverages | Tea, milkshakes, coffees

Landwer’s Famous Iced Tea | Crimson berry brew, pomegranate, passion fruit syrup, fresh fruit

Mediterranean Energy Shake + Spirulina Smoothie | Both delicious

Cortado | Absolutely delicious coffee

Krembo Milkshake | Vanilla ice cream, crushed cookie, milk, chocolate sauce, whip

Nutella Rosalach | Crispy stone oven dough baked with chocolate hazelnut spread

Lotus Rosalach | Crispy stone oven dough baked with cookie butter
