This past Saturday I took a day trip over to Rockport with my bestie and even though we weren’t there all day we managed to visit some really cute shops, roam the streets and eat some really yummy treats. Sometimes, just sometimes it pays off to go even an hour away from your regular stomping grounds, to take in some sea air and be lulled into relaxation by the quiet ebb and flow of the water.
Places visited:
- Red Skiff Restaurant
- Bella & Harvey Bakery
- Tucks Candy Factory
- Ubuntu
- Helmut’s Strudel
- Bearskin Neck Country Store
- Lula’s Pantry
- Rockport Pier
Our first stop was the pier, where we took some pictures and waited for some space at the restaurant we were going to eat breakfast at. We took some really lovely pictures, everything around us was so peaceful.
We loved the boats!

Afterwards we went to Red Skiff which is right around the corner from there and had an incredible breakfast which included Crab Cake Eggs Benedict, Challah bread french toast and Salted Caramel Coffee.

We then milled around for the rest of the time we were in Rockport, from amazing spices, teas and so much more at Lula’s Pantry to incredible strudel at Helmut’s Strudel there is enough to do in Rockport for a full weekend. We had a great conversation with the manager over at Ubuntu a shop that sells handmade goods to benefit the people of rural Africa, all proceeds made from the shop go directly to Africa. We stopped by the Bearskin Neck Country Store and reminisced with board games, and other quirky things that reminded us so much of our childhood:)
Pastries and coffee!
This is a must if you are visiting Rockport

The second we walked into Tucks Candy Factory a wave of chocolate and candy came over us. The smell enveloped us in a warm shell of happiness and we were completely taken aback with how many options there were.
So many options….
Our final stop was Bella & Harvey Bakery, this tiny but incredibly cute bakery that enticed us in with the most adorable decor and the signs that said cider donuts….and though we ended up leaving with some French Macarons instead I cant wait to go back and try some of the other baked goods. The guy helping us there was a riot and kept making us laugh while we were there, great little place.
Cutest signs everywhere
Loved the exterior of the shop
The macarons were amazing:Lemon, Pistachio, Caramel and Raspberry
Rockport is one of those small cities by the ocean in New England you just have to visit. With quiet seaside shops full of art, treats and other marvelous things you can expect to leave relaxed and with a car full to the brim with things to bring back home.
Can’t wait to go back to experience more and eat more. I feel that with Rockport you would find something new every time you go, that is the wonderful thing about towns like this.
I found this ice cream shop to be the cutest thing ever

On the way out we saw these, handmade Gumby and Pokey 🙂
