When you think about Central MA, you don’t really see it as a hub of things to do but Hudson, MA proved me wrong on that one. Many towns across Massachusetts are becoming vibrant with fun local shops, inventive eateries and more. It was great visiting Hudson and discovering some cool gems, plus, at only thirty minutes from home base it really is a hop, skip and a jump when I want a change in scenery.
We stayed in Downtown Hudson all day and from start, to finish there was something to do. In a couple block radius, there is a clothing store, cheesemonger, several restaurants, speakeasy, ice cream shop and more. Hudson is literally teeming with activity and makes for a fun daycation if you want to try some new things. Joining me on this quest for adventure were two girlfriends who were willing to check out every place with me and it made for a fun filled Sunday.
So what can you do in Hudson? Well keep reading and I’ll tell you all about it!
- Do Brunch at Rail Trail Flatbread
This was our first stop on the day adventure to Hudson and boy was I impressed. I had an absolutely delicious cocktail, delightful flatbreads and the vibe was super cool and industrial. This stop was perfect to fuel us up for a long day.
Trio of cocktails! Absolutely delicious
These toasts were unreal | Artichoke + Spinach, Pimento Cheese + Egg & Honey + Chevre
Banh Mi Flatbread w/ Tofu
BELT Flatbread | I mean a flatbread with eggs? Yes, please
- Do visit Crose Nest Collective
One of the main reasons we came to Hudson was to visit the second location of this loved shop. Specializing in pharmacopia, tea blends, DIY face maks and more this shop is literal relaxation heaven. We spent over an hour mixing teas, making masks and picking out fun gifts for friends and family.
Tea Station- so many varieties
Such a beautiful blend my friend created
I am obsessed with their DIY face mask section
- Do make a pit stop at Main Street Bagel Factory
We literally came here to just chill for a few minutes, loved the vibe and the muffin we bought was GOALS. So fresh, delicious and it smelled so good in there. Next time I will actually try the bagels.
Look at this muffin!!
Being goofy before scarfing this muffin down
- Do make a visit to Mullahy’s
I love cheese shops. I love cheese. Therefore it only makes sense I would stop by Mullahy’s. They had a wide array of yummy cheeses, along with other yummy packaged foods.
Such a pretty storefront!
A lot of yummy goodies
- Do check out Haberdash
Some great clothing, gift ideas, and fun swag. Definitely, a must visit if you’re around. They really support shopping small which is so great.
Such a fun store!
- Do have ice cream and coffee at New City Microcreamery
This was another pit stop before our final destination. It was such a bright, open space and it smelled delicious. They have some incredible ice cream flavors, toppings, coffees, pastries and more. Great place to hang out with friends.
So many cute storefronts in Hudson
