The 5 Things I want to do in 2019

“You and I are essentially infinite choice-makers. In every moment of our existence, we are in that field of all possibilities where we have access to an infinity of choices.” – Deepak Chopra

At the start of every new year many of us make resolutions, to eat better or lose more weight. While there is nothing wrong with goals like that, I wanted to make 2019 the year I have intention and purpose in the choices I make. We have the ability to create happiness for ourselves in the ways which we deem best. That’s why I wanted to set goals and intentions of what to do in 2019 or what to do more of. Especially those things that will enrich my life and even have a positive effect on others in my life.

This thought process also follows me into my blog, the place where I share recipes, fashion tips, travel tips, adventures, and just new experiences in general. A lot of my goals and intentions revolve around these things because they are what make me so happy. A second part to all this is making choices that can enrich my life not only mentally and physically but also professionally.

Everyone is different of course, we all think and act differently but in the end there is a true purpose in each person choosing and setting their goals for any given year, but also just embracing anything that comes their way. Because lets be real- sometimes life just happens and you have to figure it out as you go along.

So as I share with you what I want to do in this new year of 2019, I hope each of you will set goals and intentions for yourself. Even small things matter!

  • Travel more

Pretty vague right? Well I could say I want to travel to Europe or travel to New Zealand. While those are definitely on the list I also believe travel can be anywhere that isn’t home. The next town over, the next state over and so on. There is much to be explored, every where you go, not just overseas. I am hoping this year to travel more- no matter where.

  • Experience more culturally diverse food/restaurants

A big part of my blog is eating and cooking. This often takes me on food adventures to unique places and this year I really want to delve into more of my favorite cuisines but maybe also experience things I haven’t eaten before.   Any suggestions? 🙂 Beyond that it also allows me to share with you all, my dear Mavens, experiences which you can then go on yourself.

  • Live in the present

The future is great. The past helps us reach our present, but too often we find ourselves not living in our current reality. Its important to hone in on the present so that we can focus on what we currently need. I want to live in the present as much as possible while working on the future and learning from the past. We often miss so much, and I want to embrace as much as I currently can!

  • Network/collaborate with other like minded creatives

This is close to my heart. I think we all have a lot to learn from each other. We all learn differently from our experiences. Sharing travel tips with each other, eating delicious food while business planning, creating recipes together or just getting together to chill and relax with some drinks. All of it matters and honestly sometimes that is even a form of self care.

  • Spend more time with family and friends

This should go without saying, but often we forget. Those who have supported us in every way often get forgotten. I try to incorporate my family and friends into all the above intentions- that is my goal for this year to include and explore with those closest to me and hopefully learning along the way how much treasure I have right in front of me. 🙂

What are you hoping this year will bring you? What are you wishing to achieve and explore? Let me know!

Wishing you all the light,

Timna
