Milkweed – Boston, MA

Last Sunday was pretty darn cold, “freezing your fingers off” cold so I was really looking forward to a nice, warm brunch in good company. Milkweed, located in the Mission Hill area of Boston was this and so much more. From the second I walked in until I left, I felt so welcome in this vibrant little spot. The same team that brought Dorchester the Blarney Stone brings all their combined experience into this new venture: one of flair and imagination. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming with detailed flavors throughout. The layout of the restaurant itself is so fun, with a bar area in front of where the cooking happens, a bar area facing the windows and then open area seating. My friend Ani, a downtown boutique owner came along with me to see what Milkweed had to offer and we were both so impressed by the food, the friendliness of the staff and the cozinessĀ of the restaurant.
