Fortunato’s – Woburn, MA

Italian food is one of my many weaknesses, but I am incredibly picky. After traveling to Italy with my hubby last April and experiencing the culture and the food there I have really been looking for places that are similar or close to what I had. Fortunato’s in Woburn MA is the spot, with a focus on rich and flavorful dishes this place is so authentically Italian that it reminded me of my last meal in Milan. (You all remember that one right? Check it out here) Its hard to impress us, Roosevelt was born and raised in Italy and I have been perfecting my homemade pasta sauce for years. But this place did on every level and really made us nostalgic for all things Italian. Not only did we have an incredible meal but we have the lovely pleasure of getting to know Fortunato who was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. What more can you ask from a restaurant that not only delivers delicious food but also makes sure …

Lanxang Star – Dracut, MA

I was introduced to this place by my Yoga teacher because it’s in the same little plaza. After a great yoga session we would go to Lanxang Star for a quick dinner. This past weekend I took my babe and our friends to eat dinner there and I wanted to share our experience. This Laotian/Thai restaurant while small, is run efficiently and the ladies behind the counter and in the kitchen always having a smile for their patrons. The aromas engulf you as soon as you walk through the door and the food has been spectacular every time I have gone in or ordered takeout. When we arrived it was quiet and we ordered our appetizers while waiting for our friends. I ordered the Crab Rangoon because this place has one of my favorite renditions of it and the Spicy Chicken Wings which were sweet, spicy and brimming with flavor. Both dishes came out quickly and I really wished there was more of it after we scarfed them down. For our main dishes we ordered …

NoLo Bistro & Bar at Stonehedge Inn & Spa – Tyngsboro, MA

It was my birthday on Monday and we went to NoLo Bistro & Bar which is at Stonegedge Inn & Spa in Tyngsboro, MA. This is a beautiful area and the Inn just recently underwent a large renovation project which included a revamping of the eatery. I was excited to try it and I was not disappointed. When you drive into the Inn you get this feeling of total privacy and seclusion even though its right off of the Boulevard.  Walking in, seeing the ambient lighting and cozy tables as well as modern, contemporary decor made me feel  at home.  We were seated at a nice table near the window that had a small candle that created a lovely romantic atmosphere. After perusing their extensive wine list, I settled on a 2014 Selbach Riesling. It was a great choice for someone like me who loves white wine but likes to mix it up a bit. It had a fruity, citrus flavor and was a perfect compliment to the rest of the meal. For the appetizer …
