Chicken & Waffles – Atlanta Day 3

You can’t go wrong when you start your day off with Chicken & Waffles in Atlanta. This was my first time having real, authentic chicken & waffles with syrup. I am hooked, if the the perfectly fried chicken is this juicy all the time with the perfectly soft but not too soft waffles and just a bit of syrup is the same then I can eat this for brunch every weekend 🙂 .

We started off the day at the Atlanta Breakfast Club in downtown ATL. Very wide open spaces, bright decor and fantastic music. I ordered the above mentioned Chicken & Waffles and promptly fell in love. I also had some of the best biscuits and chicken sausage gravy ever. Coffee was also good and service was stellar. Definitely will go back next time.

After a filling breakfast we walked over to Dragon Con to check out a couple celebrities from one of our favorite shows, “Grimm” and roam around. It was so incredibly busy with so many wonderful people in costume.

Loved this Symmetra Cosplay (From Overwatch the game)

We then got to meet Jacqueline Toboni who plays  “Truble” on Grimm and Bitsie Tulloch who plays “Juliet” and “Eve” on Grimm. They were both incredibly sweet and nice and took the time to talk with us for a bit. I love when celebrities are so incredibly friendly and take time to talk to their fans.

We then walked over to Mellow Mushroom which was a few minutes away and had some of the best pizza ever. All kinds of meat, a wonderful sauce that was the right amount of sweet and savory and incredible crust. The vibe is hip and fun and its a great place to check out if you are in the area!

Love their name 🙂

We then walked over to the kiosk that we visited the day before to get more Popsicles and to have Cas try them. We struck up conversation again with this lovely couple and I managed to get a picture of them this time! Also I got Key Lime Pie this time for a Popsicle and wow, just wow. There were bits of graham cracker crust towards the end; incredibly good.

Darrell & Tacoma, some new friends!

I cannot wait to go back to Atlanta, it was an incredible visit and its an incredible city. Full of vibrant personalities everywhere you go, good southern cooking, and just honest to goodness hospitality. Plus the airport is awesome!!! 🙂

Signing off with just a bit more flavor of southern goodness…. Life as A Maven
